Yep, that includes the good \u2014 and the not-so-good.<\/p><p>\u201cUse antagonistic or provocative content to drive feedback \u2014 positive or negative,\u201d Ferzan continues. \u201cKeep eyes on what the responses look like, and even consider ghost accounts to reply and engage with people to understand the idiosyncrasies of it all. Stand with the people.\u201d<\/p><p>And then: win the people over.<\/p><h3>Use audience insights.<\/h3><p>Since behavioral targeting focuses on nailing the ideal lead, a marketer should prioritize learning everything they can about them. Or, if like Ferzan, you\u2019re starting a porta-potty company, sit in on the digital seminars, attend Zoom conferences, and get into the private Facebook groups.<\/p><p>\u201cIt\u2019s so important to do targeted listening where people are active and impassioned; they\u2019re the ones that boil over into a movement; they\u2019re the dreamers of the dreams,\u201d she says.<\/p><h3>Listen to your instincts.<\/h3><p>While behavioral targeting is rooted in data, being a human still matters. What do we mean? Don\u2019t merely create a piece of content, an ad, or a campaign because\u00a0numbers are pointing you in a specific direction.
